How do I pay with a Visa or Mastercard issued in Zimbabwe?

Open the invoice in the client area, choose Paynow and click Pay Now, then enter your card details on Paynow's secure page and complete your bank's 3-D Secure check. Paynow accepts Visa and Mastercard cards issued in Zimbabwe and abroad; Stripe is the other card option at checkout.

Before you start: the card must be enabled for online payments. If you have never used it online, ask your bank to switch this on.

  1. Sign in to the client area and open Billing → My Invoices, or use the link in the invoice email.
  2. Open the unpaid invoice and choose Paynow as the payment method. It is listed with Visa, Mastercard, Ecocash, Innbucks, O’mari and Zipit.
  3. Click Pay Now. You are taken to Paynow’s secure payment page.
  4. Choose Visa or Mastercard and enter your card details.
  5. Complete the 3-D Secure check, where your bank confirms it is really you, for example with a one-time code sent to your phone or an approval in your banking app.
  6. Wait for the confirmation. Back in the client area, the invoice shows Paid and your service activates or renews.

Paynow or Stripe?

The invoice offers two card options. Paynow is a Zimbabwean payment gateway, and Paynow says both locally and internationally issued Visa and Mastercard cards work on it. Stripe (card payments) is the other option. Choose it on the invoice in the same way and follow the steps on the card page.

Tip: If your card shows only a ZimSwitch logo, it is a local bank card: see How do I pay with a ZimSwitch card?

Card declined?

Most declines are the bank blocking an online payment it treats as international. Ask your bank to allow it, or pay with EcoCash, InnBucks, ZimSwitch or Omari instead. If the payment times out or is cancelled, start again from the invoice.

Is there a fee?
Some payment methods carry a convenience fee. If yours does, it is shown as its own line on the invoice before you pay, never added afterwards.
I paid but the invoice still says Unpaid.
If the invoice still shows unpaid an hour after you paid, send the invoice number and the payment reference or a screenshot to billing on WhatsApp +263 78 596 0376.

Still stuck? Message billing on WhatsApp +263 78 596 0376 with your invoice number.
