In cPanel, open SitePad Website Builder under Software, pick a theme, edit your pages in the drag-and-drop editor and click Publish. SitePad comes with reseller hosting, managed cPanel VPS and dedicated servers; on a web hosting plan, check your cPanel for it or ask us.
SitePad builds simple websites without code: you pick a design and change the text, pictures and pages. It publishes plain web pages, so there are no plugins to keep updated. It suits a brochure site for a shop, practice, church or small firm. For a blog with many posts or an online shop, WordPress is the better choice.
- Log in to cPanel and, under Software, click SitePad Website Builder. The editor opens in a new tab, already signed in.
- Choose a theme close to the look you want. You can change colours, fonts and pictures later, so don’t spend long on it.
- If you are asked which domain the site is for, choose it. To build a test site first, choose a subdomain such as new.yourdomain.com.
- Edit the pages: click any text to change it, click a picture to replace it, and drag new blocks (headings, images, buttons) from the side panel onto the page. Add or rename pages from the pages menu.
- Click Publish. SitePad writes the pages to your domain’s folder and the site is live at once.
- Open the site on your phone and check every page. Most of your visitors will see it on a phone first.
Tip: Publishing puts SitePad’s pages into the domain’s folder (for your main domain, public_html). If a website is already there, back it up first or publish to a subdomain, so you don’t overwrite it by accident.
Shrink photos before you upload them. Large pictures make pages slow and cost your visitors mobile data.
- Which plans include SitePad?
- Our reseller, managed cPanel VPS and dedicated server pages list it, and resellers’ clients get it in their cPanel. Web hosting plans list an AI Website Builder. If you can’t see SitePad in your cPanel, ask us on WhatsApp which builder your plan has.
- Would you rather we built it?
- Our web design plans cover design, hosting, email and edits in one yearly fee.
