Yes. We register .org.zw and .ac.zw domains at $15 a year: .org.zw is for non-profits, churches, associations and similar organisations, and .ac.zw is for academic institutions. Both need a signed letter on the organisation's letterhead; for .gov.zw or any other .zw name, message us before you order.
| Extension | Generally for | Price | What we need |
|---|---|---|---|
| .co.zw | Open to businesses, organisations and people | $6.99 a year | The owner's accurate details only: see what you need |
| .org.zw | Non-profits, churches, associations and similar organisations | $15 a year | The organisation's details and a signed letter on its letterhead |
| .ac.zw | Academic institutions | $15 a year | The institution's details and a signed letter on its letterhead |
| .gov.zw | Government departments | Ask us | Ask us |
.org.zw and .ac.zw are run separately from .co.zw and are only for the kinds of organisation above, which is why we need the letter.
Registering a .org.zw or .ac.zw
- Check the name is free on Domains.
- Order it in the organisation's name, with its name, physical address, email address and phone number. Choose the nameservers as you order.
- Send the signed letter on the organisation's letterhead. We tell you exactly what it should say. Attach it during the order, or send it on WhatsApp (+263 73 563 9917) or in a support ticket.
- We register the domain once the order is paid and the letter has reached us.
Open alternatives
- .co.zw: not only for companies. Schools, clubs and churches can register one in the organisation's own name, with no letter.
- International extensions such as .org, .ngo and .school: see Domains for the full list and prices.
Tip: Whichever extension you choose, register it in the organisation's name, not a staff member's, so it stays with the organisation when people leave.
- We already have a .org.zw or .ac.zw elsewhere. Can you host it?
- Yes. We host websites and email for any domain, wherever it is registered: see Can you host any domain extension?
Not sure your organisation qualifies? Ask us on WhatsApp before you order.
