You renew at the price you signed up at: Tremhost doesn't use introductory pricing. A renewal invoice is emailed before the due date; pay it in the client area, or keep funds in your account so it is paid automatically.
How a renewal works
- Before the due date, we email a renewal invoice to the address on your account. Keep that address current.
- Pay it under Billing → My Invoices by EcoCash, InnBucks, ZimSwitch, Omari, card or crypto (guide).
- Or add funds in advance under Billing → Add Funds. Renewal invoices are then paid automatically on the due date (guide).
- For domains, check Auto Renew is on under Domains.
- Once the invoice is paid, the service carries on for the next month or year. Nothing needs setting up again.
Will the price go up?
Not because a first-year discount ends: the price at sign-up is the renewal price. Bvumba hosting, for example, is $50 a year in the first year and every year after. If base prices ever change, existing customers get advance notice, and the change applies from the next renewal, not in the middle of a term.
Three things can make a renewal invoice look different from what you expect:
- Domains. Most extensions renew at their first-year price, but a few have a higher renewal price. The domain price list shows both.
- VAT. Zimbabwean invoices show VAT separately where it applies. Customers outside Zimbabwe are not charged VAT.
- Payment fees. Where a payment method carries a convenience fee, it is shown as its own line before you pay.
Monthly or yearly?
Yearly costs less. On web hosting, managed WordPress and email, a year is cheaper than twelve monthly payments. On KVM 1 to 6, managed VPS, VPS reseller and dedicated servers, a year is ten times the monthly price, so two months are free. Tip: Renewals are not refundable, so cancel anything you no longer need before its renewal invoice falls due (how to cancel).
