We need the new owner's details (name, physical address, email address and phone number) and the current owner's confirmation that the domain can pass to them. No letter or ID copy is needed for a .co.zw: send both to us and we make the change.
You need this when a business is sold, when a domain was registered in a web designer's or former employee's name, or when it should move from a person to the company.
If the domain is registered with Tremhost
- Message us on WhatsApp or open a support ticket with the domain name and the new owner's name.
- From the new owner: their name, physical address, email address and phone number, exactly as the registration should show them. A company or organisation is registered in its own name.
- From the current owner: confirmation that they release the domain to the new owner. We tell you how to send it.
- We make the change once we have both.
If it is registered somewhere else
To change the owner and move the domain to Tremhost in one go, we also need your current registrar to release it: follow How do I transfer a .co.zw domain to Tremhost? and tell us the owner is changing too. To leave it where it is, ask that registrar to make the change.
Tip: If the current owner is a web designer or someone who is leaving, ask them for their confirmation now, while you can still reach them.

- A change of owner needs the current owner's confirmation, so message us rather than only editing contact details.

- The new owner wants the domain in their own Tremhost account.
- Tell us when you message, and we'll tell you what we need from both of you.
