Tremhost Armor is Cloudflare security that we buy at partner rates, set up and run for you, starting with Armor Guard at $9 a month for one website. It is worth having if your website brings in business, takes payments or holds client data; a small personal site on our web hosting usually doesn't need it.

There is also Armor Network for businesses with several branches, Armor Enterprise for organisations above 250 staff, and Armor SOS for sites that are already hacked. Armor works with any hosting, not only Tremhost: we just need access to your domain’s DNS.
Do you need it?
- Yes, Guard or Shield, if customers find you through your website or it takes orders. Guard suits a site that informs; Shield suits one that takes payments or holds client data.
- Yes, Mail, if your business pays suppliers by bank transfer. One fake invoice that gets paid can cost far more than a year of the plan.
- Yes, Workforce, if staff reach company systems from home or on their phones.
- You may already have it. Managed WordPress includes Cloudflare Pro on every site, The Big Mike includes it for your main domain, and our web design plans include it.
- Probably not for a personal site or a simple page on our web hosting. Every plan already has Imunify360 server security, malware scanning and DDoS protection.

- Why not just use Cloudflare’s free plan?
- You can. Cloudflare’s default settings stop very little on their own. With Armor we write and test the rules for your site, and you get an engineer in Harare on WhatsApp when something goes wrong. If you already use the free plan, moving to Armor takes about ten minutes and your site stays on Cloudflare throughout.
- Is it cheaper than buying from Cloudflare?
- Yes. Tremhost is a Cloudflare partner. On 2 November 2026 Cloudflare listed Pro at $25 a month and Business at $250 a month, billed monthly. Armor Guard is $9 and Armor Shield is $200, with the configuration included.
- Is there an uptime guarantee?
- Cloudflare’s Business plan carries a 100% uptime SLA, and it applies to Armor Shield. Those are Cloudflare’s terms, not Tremhost’s.
