Change the domain’s nameservers to the ones in your welcome email. If the domain is registered with Tremhost, we can do it for you.
If the domain is registered elsewhere
- Sign in to the company where you registered the domain (your registrar).
- Find the nameserver setting, usually under DNS, Nameservers or Manage domain.
- Replace the existing nameservers with the ones in your Tremhost welcome email and save.
If the domain is registered with Tremhost
- Sign in to the client area and open Domains.
- Click the domain, then Nameservers, enter the new nameservers and save.
Or open a ticket and ask us to set them: we can change nameservers for domains registered with us. We cannot change them for domains registered elsewhere, because we do not have access to that registrar account.
Only want to move the website, not email?
Leave the nameservers where they are and change the domain’s A record to your Tremhost server’s IP address instead. See How do I edit DNS records?
