This Refund Policy explains when Tremhost (“Tremhost”, “we”, “us”, “our”) will and will not issue refunds for the products and services we sell. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy. By purchasing any product or service from Tremhost, you agree to the terms set out below.
1. Summary
– Eligible hosting services carry a 7-day money-back guarantee from the date the service is activated.
– Domain registrations, renewals, and transfers are non-refundable.
– Licenses and software products are non-refundable.
– No service is refundable once it has been active or in use for more than 7 days.
The sections below explain each point in full. Where a clause conflicts with the summary, the full clause governs.
2. The 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee
New purchases of the following services are eligible for a full refund if you request one within 7 calendar days of the service being activated or provisioned:
– Shared hosting plans
– Reseller hosting plans
– Email hosting plans
– VPS plans
To qualify for a refund under this guarantee:
– The request must be submitted within 7 calendar days of activation.
– The service must be a first-time purchase (the guarantee does not apply to renewals — see Section 4).
– Your account must be in good standing and not in breach of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy.
After 7 days from activation, the service is considered used and is no longer eligible for a refund, in whole or in part, for any reason.
3. Non-Refundable Products and Services
The following are non-refundable at all times, including within the first 7 days. This is because Tremhost incurs immediate, non-recoverable costs from third parties (registries, vendors, and licensors) at the moment these are purchased.
3.1 Domain Names
All domain registrations, renewals, transfers, and redemption/restore fees are non-refundable once the order is processed. This applies whether or not the domain is used, because domain registries charge Tremhost immediately and irreversibly upon registration.
3.2 Licenses and Software
All software licenses are non-refundable once issued or activated. This includes, without limitation:
– Control-panel licenses (e.g. cPanel/WHM)
– Operating-system licenses (e.g. CloudLinux)
– SSL certificates
– Security and antivirus licenses (e.g. ESET)
– Any other third-party application or software license
3.3 Services Used for More Than 7 Days
Any service that has been active or in use for more than 7 days is non-refundable, in whole or in part, regardless of the reason for the request.
3.4 Other Non-Refundable Items
– One-time setup, provisioning, or migration fees
– Administrative or service fees
– Add-ons purchased on top of a base plan
– Custom, dedicated, or specially provisioned solutions
4. Renewals
The 7-day money-back guarantee applies only to first-time purchases. Renewal payments for hosting, domains, and licenses are non-refundable. To avoid an unwanted renewal charge, cancel the service before its renewal date through your client area or by contacting us in advance.
5. How the 7-Day Period and “Use” Are Measured
– The 7-day period begins on the date the service is activated or provisioned, not the date of payment, where these differ.
– “Use” includes any provisioning, configuration, data upload, email sending, DNS activity, or other consumption of the service.
– The cut-off is determined by Tremhost’s server and billing records.
6. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund within the eligible window, contact us via:

Please include your account details, the invoice or order number, and the reason for your request. We may ask for additional information to verify the request before processing it.
7. How Refunds Are Processed
– Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method where possible. Where a reversal to the original method is not possible, we may issue the refund as Tremhost account credit.
– Refunds are processed within [7–14] business days of approval. The time for funds to appear in your account depends on your payment provider and is outside Tremhost’s control.
– Refunds are issued in the original currency of the transaction.
8. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you have a billing concern, please contact us first so we can resolve it. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us may result in suspension or termination of your services and account.
9. Exceptions and Discretion
Tremhost may, at its sole discretion, grant or decline a refund outside the terms of this policy on a case-by-case basis. Any such exception does not alter this policy and does not create an obligation to do the same again.
We do not provide refunds for service interruptions. Service-level commitments and any related credits, where offered, are governed separately by our [Service Level Agreement / Terms of Service].
10. Fraud, Abuse, and Terms Violations
No refund is due for any service suspended or terminated because of fraud, abuse, spam, or violation of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase. .
