Here are the steps:<\/p>\n<p>1. Right-click on the folder that you want to password-protect.<br \/>\n2. Select \u201cProperties\u201d from the context menu.<br \/>\n3. Click on the \u201cAdvanced\u201d button in the \u201cGeneral\u201d tab.<br \/>\n4. Check the box next to \u201cEncrypt contents to secure data.\u201d<br \/>\n5. Click \u201cOK\u201d to close the \u201cAdvanced Attributes\u201d window.<br \/>\n6. Click \u201cApply\u201d and then \u201cOK\u201d to close the \u201cProperties\u201d window.<br \/>\n7. If prompted, choose whether to apply the encryption to the folder only or to the folder and all of its subfolders and files.<br \/>\n8. Windows will now encrypt the folder and its contents. You can access the folder normally, but others will need the encryption key to view its contents.<\/p>\n<p>Note that the encryption key is tied to your user account, so anyone who wants to access the folder will need to log in to your user account or have the encryption key.
